Backup ring is a ring-shaped closed or non-closed part that is fastened on the shaft and used to axially or circumferentially fix other parts installed on the shaft. BRT2 backup ring is used to increase the pressure resistance of the seal.

Classified According To The Role Of Backup Ring:

• Flat backup ring: A detachable, substantially flat washer whose inner or outer part is used as the outer or inner ring rib of a radial cylindrical roller bearing.
• Oblique backup ring: A separable ring with an "L"-shaped cross-section, the outer part of which acts as the inner rib of the radial roller ball bearing.
• Middle backup ring: A separable ring in two or more rows of roller bearings, used to separate and guide each row of rollers.

Purpose of Backup Ring:

(1) The fixing of parts on the shaft is divided into axial fixing and circumferential fixing;

(2) The methods of axial fixing include: shaft shoulder or collar fixing, shaft end backup ring or conical surface fixing, shaft sleeve fixing, round nut fixing, elastic backup ring fixing;

(3) The backup ring mainly plays the role of axial fixation, in which the conical surface and the backup ring are fixed with a higher centering degree;

(4) The backup ring of the rolling bearing is equivalent to a movable rib, which is used to block the rollers and is convenient for installation. The structure of the backup ring includes a flat backup ring, an oblique backup ring and a middle backup ring.
